World Market Leader 2021

The University of St. Gallen has included us in the index of world market leaders also for 2021. The companies listed here must meet strict admission criteria, which are examined and evaluated by a team of scientists headed by Professor Christoph Müller. A world market leader must have the highest or at least the second highest market share in the respective segment worldwide, as well as annual sales of over 50 million euros, at least half of which must be generated abroad, and must be present on at least three continents.

The Managing Director of Thielenhaus Holding GmbH and Chairman of the Advisory Board of Thielenhaus Technologies GmbH, Dietrich W. Thielenhaus, understands this award "as a consequence of the internationalization strategy that has been forced in recent years". The development of foreign markets led to the international positioning at an early stage. Today the company is represented worldwide with eight locations in six countries on four continents. "In addition, we meet the demand for customer proximity through specialized commercial agencies in all major industrial countries. The family-owned company intends to continuously expand its role as a global pioneer and innovative leader in the field of machine tools for surface finishing.

The microfinishing process developed by us is based on a controlled interaction of workpiece rotation with simultaneous oscillation of the finishing tool. The process enables accuracies of up to one ten thousandth of a millimeter and thus significant advances in cost-effectiveness, functional reliability, noise reduction and miniaturization. The technology is used wherever the highest precision and load capacity, lowest friction and running noise, long service life and maximum energy and raw material efficiency are required. The process used on the microfinishing machines thus meets all current technical and social megatrends in the world.
